Google……. Ah, The bread and butter of us SEOs! I firmly believe that Google in itself is too vast a niche to expert. Google webmaster tools provide Webmasters all over an easier way to make their websites more and more search engine friendly by adhering to a simple set of guidelines…

How to add your site to Google webmaster tools

1. Create a Gmail account or use existing Gmail account
2. Open Link https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools
3. Click on add a site button

4. Enter the URL of a site you’d like to manage.
5. Verify your site to prove to Google that really you are a site owner
6. Google Provide three method of verification a) Meta tag b) Upload a file C) ADD DNS Record

7. After Verification, you can easily access website profile. To do so, you’ll have to click on the Manage: http://www.yourdomain.com link in the Webmaster Tools Dashboard. Overview screen contains high level of information on your site..
8. At the Top of your screen is a graph with button All, Countries and date…

9. 2nd Left panel link is Site Configuration with sub-links is Sitemaps, Crawler Access, Site links, Change of address and Settings

Site maps: People can submit their XML Sites on click a submit a site map link


Crawler Access:
If your site has content you don’t want Google or other search engines to access, use a robots.txt file to specify how search engines should crawl your site’s content.. If private or out-of-date content is appearing in Google search results, use the Removal URL tool to request its removal


Site Links:
Sitelinks means links to a website to a website’s internal web-pages. No all sites have site links. Search Engine Display these site links automatically but you can block or remove sitelinks if you don’t want.


Change of address:
Change of address tool is used if you want to move a site on any other domain. In simpler words, the Change of Address tool is used to intimate Google about your new URL. Change of address tools help us get our pages indexed faster.
