Variety is the key to a outstanding SEO program!

Over the weekend, I noticed a significant improvement in all of our new clients websites. One example of this is my customer dalerhodes.co.uk – within 2 and a half months we have got him no1 for the search term tailors on google.co.uk. Furthermore, we work for a number of web design companies, one in particular has seen there website rise from last month where it was not in the top 100 of the SERPS to the first page. Matt Cutts announced some “deliberate” changes to Googles algorythm recently, saying that it will effect websites longer tail keywords if their website is fairly flat on content. Good to say, this isnt the case with our clients as we ensure their websites are content rich for the search bots to crawl.
Even though links are vitally important, this emphasises the message to all you webmasters out there, get good quality content on your website, keep the content rolling and make sure your internal linking keeps moving. When blogging or writing articles, do not link to the same url string from within one blog post or article, this can be perceived as spammy and unnatural. What I am trying to say is, good seo always shows variation. Write different themed blog posts and articles,go back to your school days of creative writing. Vary your off page keyword anchor text pointing back to your website. One other final tip….when doing directory submissions, vary the Website Title (which ultimately becomes your anchor text) and every time you submit a to a new directory, make sure you write a different description for your website, again to avoid duplicate content issues, becoming spammy and looking unnatural! Variation is the key….
I will write more on this point as it lies at the centre of good seo. Anyone not showing variation whilst carrying out a seo program is lazy and will not get results!
