Call to Action- 10 Interesting Way to Boost your Online Sales
| Share | Tweet |
Many a times, our clients ask why is that we are getting lots of visitors but our sales are not increasing. Is this the same question as yours?
Let’s talk about it
Does your website has ‘call to action’?
If your answer is ‘No’, then no matter how many visitors are coming to your site, you still won’t get much benefited by them.
Every visitor is valuable for your website and without Call to Actions (CTAs) you are simply wasting the time of your visitors and, of course, your efforts which you are making on your website. You always understand what a visitor needs from your site and of course where you want to move them. And also try to understand the segment of users coming to your website and manage them with specific “CTAs”
So, here you will know what you should keep in mind for Call to Actions
Use these following tricks to make a “call to action” concept that will have your phone calls ringing and your sales graphs spiralling upwards.
1. DO THE GROUND WORK
Before a user attempts to complete a Call to Action, they have to describe their needs.
Infomercials presentations do this perfectly. Before they ask people to join, they first present a problem and subsequently offer a product or service that solves the same.
You also need to mention the benefits of responding to CTAs. Ask yourself what benefit will the user get from completing your call to action?
Take the example from an online casino site
Immediately above the right side corner, notice the Call to Action button (a download button where they offer a welcome package besides the option of instant play. And they have the following text:
‘Play 888casino LIVE!
Get real live casino action, with real dealers.’
They clearly explain on their site what the user will get by downloading.
2.OFFER A BIT EXTRA
Sometimes you may have to offer an irresistible deal to encourage users to attempt a call to action.
You can offer free samples of your products before your customers place the order.
This is the approach cane direct used on their furniture and cushion website.
Request FREE Fabric Samples. (See in the image below)
3. NOTIFY THE DEAD LINE FOR PLACING ORDERS
Offer some promotional goods that double up as a temptation for placing orders. ‘The specific offer could end on that date’
Or you can get the gift placing order before this date. . For example, order by the 10th and get a… etc.
Also, try to place the cut off date in the same period as your goods will be delivered. This way, your valuable customers will know they have a limited time to respond and they won’t fall under the “I’ll do it later” syndrome
4. NOTIFY BEFORE PRICE INCREASE
People always want to get the best deals on their products. If your price is increasing on a specific date, tell your customers so that they know about this. They would want to purchase before your product’s value increases.
OFFER A TRIAL/PEROID OR AN INTRODUCTORY OFFER
Trial period is a good way to get new customers. You can offer a special deal, additional service or a big discount during your introductory/trial period.
5. OFFER FREE DELIVERY FOR ORDERS
You can offer free delivery of products when your customers will place a specific amount of order which will further boost your sales. (As offered in the image below)
6. “NO RISK” MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
Customers always want to know if there is any money back guarantee if they’re not satisfied with the service or product. Let your customers know when can they cancel the order. You can also set a trial period and advertise it as ’15 days money back guarantee’
7. GET THE CTA ON RIGHT POSITION
One and another most important factor is the place of your call to action on the website. Honestly it should be placed at the top of the page and in right side column.
www.picframes.co.uk places their CTA on the top right side and explains very clearly what will the customer get after attempting their CTA

8. HAVE A LARGE CTA
Our web designers often do not agree with clients who ask us to make things larger. It is generally true fact that size is not everything. However, we cannot deny that size does play an important part on a web page. The larger your call to action is, the more is the chance that it would be noticed.

Mozilla have followed this approach on the home page where their download link indicates the page. Have a look.
9. GET A CALL TO ACTION ON EVERY WEB PAGE
A call to action must be on every page of website, not just on the home page. Every page of your website must have some call to action that the user can follow. Every page of your web site must have some type of call to action that the customer can use.
10. MAKE IT EASY AND SIMPLE
Users do not like to think too much, especially when surfing the internet. There will be fewer visitors who will respond. Use a few words. Keep the offer clear. Do not mention any terms and conditions or special rules. Don’t try to force visitors to click on too many pages to attempt the action. Always keep in mind the harder it is to finish, the fewer would be the user who attempt it.
An impressive call to action is the heart of a successful web site and by following all above techniques your online sales will boost like a ROCKET J
