It’s no secret that keyword optimisation is probably the biggest tool used by SEO experts to raise their Page and Site rankings. It’s not without a reason that they say, “When it comes to SEO, Content is The King”. Your content might be laden with well-spaced keywords, can be user-friendly and, in case you are really good, fun to read as well. So, what is it that can differentiate your webpage from the ordinary in terms of search engine ranking? The answer is keyword marketing and optimization using a keyword rich title.
Yes people, titling is probably one of the most important, yet oddly underrated attribute that can only further the prospects of your webpage featuring high up the search engine rankings. The logic behind this can be well understood if one tries to understand the algorithm of search patterns of various search engines. Google’s crawler, also known as GOOGLEBOT, collects and reads documents from the web and builds a searchable index for Google. What actually happens is that Googlebot follows HREF and SRC links. Hence, when this crawler visits your webpage it starts from the very beginning in a normal left-to-right pattern. So, it becomes clearly obvious how important and beneficial it is to mention your keyword right in the title itself. In fact, starting your title with the targeted keyword can be very useful. Lastly, it is advisable to contain your title within 60-65 characters (including spaces) as specified by Google.
However, do not compromise on the quality of the content in order to accommodate keywords. Hence, make sure that keyword usage is within the search engines’ specifications, which normally ranges between 3-5% for the entire article body. A decent and keyword rich title can sure optimize your webpage and get you loads of useful and targeted traffic.
